Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE (AM2) 
    1. Remove the AM2 fuse from the cowl side junction block RH.
    2. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

      Standard resistance: 

      Below 1 Ω 

    NG : REPLACE FUSE 

    OK : Go to next step 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the K73 ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance and voltage of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard voltage 

      VOLTAGE SPECIFIED CONDITIONS

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      K73-33 (AM1) - Body ground 10 to 14 V
      K73-12 (AM2) - Body ground

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      K73-6 (GND2) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

    OK : Go to next step 

  3. CHECK RESISTANCE OF COMMUNICATION LINE

    1. Disconnect the K66 and K73 ECU connectors.
    2. Disconnect the W6 junction block connector.
    3. Disconnect the Q13 switch connector.
    4. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      K73-7 (MPX1) - W6-11 (MPX) Below 1 Ω
      K73-7 (MPX1) - Q13-3 (MPX1)
      K73-24 (MPX2) - K66-3 (MPD1)

      Result 

      RESULT CHART

      Result Proceed to
      All are OK A
      One or to is / are OK B
      All are NG C

    B : REPLACE POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU AND WIRE HARNESS CONNECTOR 

    C : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    A : REPLACE POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU
