Roof Headlining: Installation

  1. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOF WIRE (for Standard) 
    1. Apply new double-sided tape to the locations shown in the illustration while aligning the tape with the markings on the roof headlining.

      NOTE: Securely apply the double-sided tape to prevent the tape from being out of alignment and peeling off.
    2. Peel off the release paper from the double-sided tape.
    3. Attach the No. 1 roof wire along the double-sided tape so that the marking surface of the wire harness faces downward.
      NOTE:
      • Securely attach the No. 1 roof wire.
      • Failure to do so may cause abnormal noise.
    4. Turn the visor connectors clockwise approximately 90° to the connectors of the roof headlining.
    5. Apply adhesive tape to the locations shown in the illustration.

      HINT:

      As shown at point A in the illustration, line up and secure the reference tape of the wire harness to the tip of the roof headlining assembly.

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOF WIRE (for Glass Roof) 
    1. Apply new double-sided tape to the locations shown in the illustration while aligning the tape with the markings on the roof headlining.

      NOTE: Securely apply the double-sided tape to prevent the tape from being out of alignment and peeling off.
    2. Peel off the release paper from the double-sided tape.
    3. Attach the No. 1 roof wire along the double-sided tape so that the marking surface of the wire harness faces downward.
      NOTE:
      • Securely attach the No. 1 roof wire.
      • Failure to do so may cause abnormal noise.
    4. Turn the visor connectors clockwise approximately 90° to the connectors of the roof headlining.
    5. Apply adhesive tape to the locations shown in the illustration.

      HINT:

      As shown at point A in the illustration, line up and secure the reference tape of the wire harness to the tip of the roof headlining assembly.

  3. INSTALL VANITY LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the vanity light to the roof headlining.
    2. Connect the 2 claws to install the bulb holder.

      HINT:

      Use the same procedure to install the light on the other side.

  4. INSTALL ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY  ( INSTALLATION )
  5. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (for Standard) 
    1. Pull the roof headlining assembly into the vehicle through the front right door.
    2. Engage the 12 claws, 4 clips, and 11 fasteners.
    3. Connect the antenna cord sub-assembly connector and engage the clamp to the rear pillar RH.
    4. Connect the antenna cord sub-assembly connector and engage each clamp to the front pillar RH.

    5. Connect the No. 1 wire connector and engage each clamp to the front pillar LH.

  6. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (for Glass Roof) 
    1. Pull the roof headlining assembly into the vehicle through the front right door.
    2. Engage the 12 claws, 4 clips, and 21 fasteners.
    3. Connect the antenna cord sub-assembly connector and engage the clamp to the rear pillar RH.
    4. Connect the antenna cord sub-assembly connector and engage each clamp to the front pillar RH.

    5. Connect the No. 1 wire connector and engage each clamp to the front pillar LH.

  7. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 clips to an assist grip sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
    2. Install the assist grip sub-assembly.
    3. Install the 2 assist grip covers to the assist grip sub-assembly.

      HINT:

      Use the same procedure for the other 3 assist grips.

  8. INSTALL SPOT LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for Standard) 
    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Engage the 2 clips and install the spot light assembly.

  9. INSTALL SPOT LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for Glass Roof) 
    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Engage the 2 clips and install the spot light assembly.

  10. INSTALL COAT HOOK 
    1. Install the coat hook with the screw.

      HINT:

      Use the same procedure to install the hook on the other side.

  11. INSTALL VISOR HOLDER 
    1. Set the claws of the visor holder as shown in the illustration.
    2. Engage the claws and install the visor holder.

      HINT:

      Use the same procedure to install the holder on the other side.

  12. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Install the visor assembly LH with the 2 screws.

  13. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.

  14. INSTALL VISOR BRACKET COVER 
    1. Engage the 4 claws and install the visor bracket cover.

      HINT:

      Use the same procedure to install the cover on the other side.

  15. INSTALL ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connector.
    2. Engage the 2 clips.

    3. Install the roof console box assembly with the 2 screws.

    1. Engage the claw and 5 clips, and install the roof side inner garnish assembly LH.

  42. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH (w/o Rear Seat Side Airbag) 
    1. Install the 4 claws and install the rear seat side garnish LH.

  43. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)  ( INSTALLATION )
  44. INSTALL UPPER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Engage the clip.
    2. Install the upper center pillar garnish LH with the 2 screws.

  45. INSTALL LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Engage the 5 clips and 2 claws, and install the lower center pillar garnish LH.

  46. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. Engage the 8 claws, then install the rear door scuff plate LH.

  47. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Remove the protective cover.

    2. Install a new clip < A > on the front pillar garnish LH.
    3. Engage the claw and 2 clips, then install the front pillar garnish LH.

  48. INSTALL SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL LH  ( INSTALLATION )
  49. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH 
    1. Engage the 3 claws and install the front door opening trim cover LH.

    1. Engage the 12 claws, and install the front door scuff plate LH.
