Vanity Light: Inspection

INSPECT VANITY LIGHT ASSEMBLY

Disconnect the Q8 or Q9 vanity light assembly connector.

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage: LH Side

TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
Q8-1 - Q8-2	Vanity light switch ON	10 to 14 V
Q8-1 - Q8-2	Vanity light switch OFF	Below 1 V

RH Side

TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
Q9-1 - Q9-2	Vanity light switch ON	10 to 14 V
Q9-1 - Q9-2	Vanity light switch OFF	Below 1 V

If the result is not as specified, there is a malfunction on the wire harness side.

Apply battery voltage to the vanity light assembly connector.

Check that the vanity light comes on.

MEASUREMENT CONDITION

Measurement Condition	Specified Condition
Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2	Vanity light comes on

If the result is not as specified, replace the bulb or vanity light assembly.
