Vanity Light: Inspection

  1. INSPECT VANITY LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the Q8 or Q9 vanity light assembly connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage: LH Side 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q8-1 - Q8-2 Vanity light switch ON 10 to 14 V
      Vanity light switch OFF Below 1 V

      RH Side 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q9-1 - Q9-2 Vanity light switch ON 10 to 14 V
      Vanity light switch OFF Below 1 V

      If the result is not as specified, there is a malfunction on the wire harness side.

    3. Apply battery voltage to the vanity light assembly connector.
    4. Check that the vanity light comes on.

      OK 

      MEASUREMENT CONDITION

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2
      Vanity light comes on

      If the result is not as specified, replace the bulb or vanity light assembly.
