Front Seat Assembly: Installation

  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Place the seat in the cabin.
    2. Connect the connectors under the seat.
    3. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
    4. Move the front seat assembly fully forward by operating the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
      NOTE: Check that the seat is locked.
    5. Temporarily install the front side of the front seat assembly with the 2 bolts.
    6. Move the front seat assembly fully forward by operating the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
      NOTE: Check that the seat is locked.

    7. Temporarily install the rear side of the front seat assembly with the 2 bolts.
    8. Move the front seat assembly to the rearmost position by operating the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
      NOTE: Check that the seat is locked.
    9. Fully tighten the 2 bolts on the front side of the front seat assembly in the order of the inner side bolt and then the outer side bolt.

      Torque: 37 N*m (377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf)

    10. Move the front seat assembly fully forward by operating the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
      NOTE: Check that the seat is locked.
    11. Fully tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of the front seat assembly in the order of the inner side bolt and then the outer side bolt.

      Torque: 37 N*m (377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf) 

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT REAR OUTER TRACK BRACKET COVER 
    1. Engage the 4 claws and install the front seat rear outer track cover.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT REAR INNER TRACK BRACKET COVER 
    1. Engage the 4 claws and install the inner seat track bracket cover.
  4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER TRACK BRACKET COVER 
    1. Move the front seat assembly to the rearmost position by operating the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
    2. Engage the 2 claws and install the front seat outer track bracket cover.

  5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER TRACK BRACKET COVER 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and install the front seat inner track bracket cover.
  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY 
  7. CONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY  (See DISPOSAL )
  8. INSTALL SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER CAP  (See DISPOSAL )
  9. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    NOTE: Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the negative battery cable (See INITIALIZATION ).
  10. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check the power seat operation.
    2. Check the seat heater operation (with seat heater system).
      1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
      2. Turn the seat heater switch ON.
      3. Wait 5 minutes or more and confirm that the seat surface becomes warm.
  11. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM )
