Introduction

This bulletin explains the initialization procedure for the front seat position and the seatback angle on 2007 model year SC 430 vehicles.

To reduce parasitic current draw from the battery during transport and storage, the DCC fuse (15A) has been removed at the assembly plant. As a result of the removal of the DCC fuse, the following will be inoperative:

It is necessary to initialize the front seat position and the seatback angle after the DCC fuse has been installed during Pre-Delivery Service (PDS) or whenever the battery terminal has been disconnected and reconnected.

NOTE: Please refer to TSIB No. PD035-06, DCC FUSE INSTALLATION DURING PDS for more information on fuse installation.

Initialization Procedure

  1. Make sure the DCC fuse is installed in its original position (refer to TSIB No. PD035-06, DCC FUSE INSTALLATION DURING PDS
  2. Move the seat position control switch forward until a beeping sound is emitted.
  3. Move the seatback angle switch forward until a beeping sound is emitted.

  4. Move the seat to the rearmost position, recline the seatback all the way back, and check that the seat will move all the way forward.
    NOTE: Repeat the above procedure to initialize the passenger's seat position and seatback angle.
