Inspection Procedure

1. Remove the D/C CUT fuse from the engine room No. 1 relay block.
2. Remove the MPX-B2 fuse from the passenger side junction block.
3. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

   Standard resistance 

   RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION
   
   

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   D/C CUT fuse	Below 1 Ω
   MPX-B2 fuse	Below 1 Ω

NG: REPLACE FUSE 

OK: Go to next step. 

1. Disconnect the 3E and 3G junction block connectors.
2. Disconnect the P4 ECU connector.

3. Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

   Standard voltage 

   VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION
   
   

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   3E-16 (MPX-B) - Body ground	Always	11 to 14 V

   Standard resistance 

   RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION
   
   

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   3G-8 (GND) - Body ground	Below 1 Ω
   P4-11 (GND1) - Body ground	Below 1 Ω

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step. 

1. Disconnect the 3H junction block connector.
2. Disconnect the A21 sensor connector.
3. Disconnect the A10 amplifier connector.
4. Disconnect the P6 ECU connector.

5. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

   Standard resistance 

   RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

   3H-2 (AIRBAG) - A21-22 (MPX2)	Below 1 Ω
   P6-4 (MPX-) - A10-13 (MPX+)	Below 1 Ω

   Result 

   RESULT CHART
   
   

   Result	Proceed to
   Both are OK	A
   One is OK	B
   Both are NG	C

B: REPLACE PASSENGER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK AND REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

C: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

A: REPLACE PASSENGER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK
