Rear Combination Light Assembly: Removal

HINT:

• Use the same procedures for the RH and LH side.
• The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
   CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
2. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER STOPPER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (See  DISASSEMBLY  ) 
3. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE (See  DISASSEMBLY  ) 
4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT (See  DISASSEMBLY  ) 
5. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER RH (See  DISASSEMBLY  ) 
6. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH (See  DISASSEMBLY  ) 
7. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER ASSEMBLY 
8. REMOVE SPARE TIRE 
9. REMOVE TOOL BOX COVER (See  DISASSEMBLY  ) 
10. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM REAR COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See  DISASSEMBLY  ) 
11. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (See  DISASSEMBLY  ) 
12. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER INNER LOWER (See  DISASSEMBLY  ) 
13. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH SIDE PLATE LH (See  DISASSEMBLY  ) 
14. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER FRONT (See  DISASSEMBLY  ) 
15. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER SIDE LH (See  DISASSEMBLY  ) 
16. REMOVE REAR LIGHT COVER LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, pry out the light cover.

       HINT:

       Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

17. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the bolt.
    3. Pull out the light, and then disconnect the 2 pins and light guide of the body side.
