Inspection Procedure
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY INTELLIGENT TESTER (ROOM LIGHT)
- Select the ACTIVE TEST, use the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) to generate a control command, and then check that the room light illuminates.

- Check that the map light illuminates.
- CHECK IGNITION KEY CYLINDER LIGHT
- Check that the ignition key cylinder light illuminates.
OK: Ignition key cylinder light illuminates.
NG: Go to step 15
OK: Go to Next step
- Check that the ignition key cylinder light illuminates.
- CHECK SCUFF PLATE LIGHT
- Check that the scuff plate light illuminates.
OK: Scuff plate light illuminates.
OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG: Go to Next step
- Check that the scuff plate light illuminates.
- INSPECT SCUFF PLATE LIGHT
- Remove the scuff plate light.
- Apply battery voltage to the scuff light connector and check that the scuff plate light illuminates.

- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SCUFF PANEL LIGHT - ECU AND BATTERY)
- Disconnect the S11*1 or S12*2 light connector.

- Disconnect the P4 ECU connector.
- Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connectors.

- Disconnect the S11*1 or S12*2 light connector.
- INSPECT STEP LIGHT
- Remove the step light.
- Apply battery voltage to the step light connector and check that the step light illuminates.

- Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connectors.

- INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
- Remove the map light.
- Apply battery voltage to the map light connector and check that the map light illuminates.

- Disconnect the P4 ECU connector.
- Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard voltage
VOLTAGE SPECIFICATIONTester Connection Specified Condition P12-1 (B) - Body ground 10 to 14 V - Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance

- INSPECT KEY CYLINDER LIGHT ASSEMBLY
- Remove the key cylinder light.
- Apply battery voltage to the key cylinder light connector and check that the key cylinder light illuminates.
