Light Control Rheostat: Inspection

  1. INSPECT LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT 
    1. Remove the light control rheostat with connector still connected.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R6-1 (E) - R6-7 (RV) Light control rheostat position is MIN. Below 1 Ω
      R6-1 (E) - R6-7 (RV) Light control rheostat position is between MIN. and MAX. 8 to 12 kΩ
      R6-1 (E) - R6-7 (RV) ODO/TRIP switch is OFF -> ON 10 kΩ or higher -> Below 1 Ω

      HINT:

      If the value is not as specified, replace the light control rheostat.
