Hazard Warning Switch: Inspection

  1. INSPECT HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Measure the resistance of the switch.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITIONS

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      4 (TB) - 1 (E) OFF (Not pushed) 10 kΩ or higher
      4 (TB) - 1 (E) ON (Pushed) Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.

    2. Inspect the switch illumination.
      1. Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 3 (ILL+) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2 (ILL-), then check that the light comes on.

        OK: LED comes on. 

        If the result is not as specified, replace the light.
