Inspection Procedure

When using intelligent tester, start from 1. When not using the intelligent tester, start from 2.

READ VALUE OF INTELLIGENT TESTER (HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH)
1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
2. Check that the headlight dimmer switch operates using the DATA LIST (see DATA LIST/ACTIVE TEST ).
- OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- NG: GO TO NEXT STEP
INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
1. Inspect the headlight dimmer switch assembly (see INSPECTION ).
- NG: REPLACE HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
CHECK WIRE HARNESS (HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH - BODY ECU)
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
