Rear Heater Unit: Inspection

  1. INSPECT BLOWER MOTOR 
    1. Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 1 and battery negative (-) lead to terminal 2, and then check that the motor rotates smoothly. If the operation is not as specified, replace the blower motor.
  2. INSPECT AIR MIX SERVO MOTOR 
    1. Inspect the air mix servo motor (see DTC 47 REAR AIR MIX DAMPER CONTROL SERVO MOTOR CIRCUIT  ).

  3. INSPECT AIR MIX DAMPER POSITION SENSOR 
    1. Inspect the air mix damper position sensor (see DTC 37 REAR AIR MIX DAMPER POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT; DTC 47 REAR AIR MIX DAMPER CONTROL SERVO MOTOR CIRCUIT  ).
  4. INSPECT AIR INLET TEMPERATURE SENSOR 
    1. Inspect the air inlet temperature sensor (see DTC 26 SYSTEM TOO RICH  ).
