ABSORBER CONTROL ACTUATOR (for Front Side): Removal
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
- REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH (See REMOVAL )
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER CAP LH
- Remove the 3 nuts and shock absorber cap.
- Disconnect the connector from absorber control actuator.
- Disconnect the absorber cap from wire harness.
- REMOVE ABSORBER CONTROL ACTUATOR
- Turn the absorber control actuator counterclockwise 40° to remove it from the front pneumatic cylinder.NOTE:
- Do not turn the actuator more than 40°.
- Do not drop the absorber control actuator. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
- Turn the absorber control actuator counterclockwise 40° to remove it from the front pneumatic cylinder.
