STEERING GEAR (w/ VGRS): Installation

1. Install the power steering link and rack housing bracket to the front frame with the 4 bolts and 4 nuts.

   Torque: 70 N*m (714 kgf*cm, 52 ft.*lbf)

2. Connect the 5 connectors and attach the 3 clips.

1. Connect the tie rod LH to the steering knuckle with the nut.

   Torque: 60 N*m (612 kgf*cm, 44 ft.*lbf) 

2. Install a new clip.

HINT:

Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

Torque: 103 N*m (1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf) 

1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
   NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

1. Check suspension control system (see ADJUSTMENT ).

1. Inspect and adjust front wheel alignment (see ADJUSTMENT ).

1. Adjust headlight aiming (see ADJUSTMENT ).

1. Inspect the SRS warning light (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).

1. Adjust object recognition camera (see ADJUSTMENT ).

1. Initialize rotation angle sensor and calibrate torque sensor zero point (see CALIBRATION  ).

1. Perform variable gear ratio steering system calibration (see CALIBRATION ).
