Introduction
On new LS 460/460L vehicles that have not had their first oil change service, customers may experience a condition where the Low Engine Oil Level warning message is illuminated even though the oil is at the correct level. Chemical residue from the assembly process may have entered the oil causing the level sensor to read inaccurately. Changing the oil and filter will correct this condition.
NOTE:
This phenomenon will more likely occur when the gear selector is in the Sport 4 (S4) mode.

This repair is covered until the first scheduled maintenance in accordance with the 2007 Scheduled Maintenance Guide.

NOTE:
Be sure to use the recommended oil grade and viscosity as referred in the Owner's Manual.
Change engine oil and reset the maintenance reminder.
NOTE:
This TSIB should be done ONLY once. Dealers will NOT be reimbursed for additional claims.
