Introduction

On new LS 460/460L vehicles that have not had their first oil change service, customers may experience a condition where the Low Engine Oil Level warning message is illuminated even though the oil is at the correct level. Chemical residue from the assembly process may have entered the oil causing the level sensor to read inaccurately. Changing the oil and filter will correct this condition.
