Inspection Procedure

1. Check for the DTC (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).

   Result:

B: Go to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM  (See CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM )

A: GO TO NEXT STEP 

1. Operate the intelligent tester or Techstream according to the display and select "ACTIVE TEST" or "Active Test".
   1. Intelligent tester

      METER:

      HINT:

      • Confirm that the vehicle is stopped and engine is idling. It is normal that door will be locked automatically when performing the speedometer ACTIVE TEST.
      • The displayed value has the same units (km/h, mph) as the main scale of the vehicle's speedometer.
      • The needle position should be within the acceptable tolerance.

      OK: Needle indication is normal. 

NG: REPLACE NO. 1 METER ECU 

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

1. Operate the intelligent tester or Techstream according to the display and select "DATA LIST" or "Data List".

NG: Go to step 4 

OK: REPLACE NO. 1 METER ECU
