Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE (D MPX-B1, P IG2) 
    1. Remove the D MPX-B1 fuse from the main body ECU.
    2. Remove the P IG2 fuse from the passenger side junction block.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      FUSE (D MPX-B1, P IG2)

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D MPX-B1 fuse Always Below 1 Ω
      P IG2 fuse

    NG: REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 METER ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the L10 ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      NO. 1 METER ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L10-17 (E2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      L10-18 (ES) - Body ground

      Standard voltage 

      NO. 1 METER ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND VOLTAGE

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      L10-14 (IG2) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      L10-13 (B) - Body ground Always

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE NO. 1 METER ECU
