On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. INSPECT ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector from the oil pressure switch.
    2. With the switch still installed, measure the resistance between the terminal of the engine oil pressure switch and engine ground.

      Standard resistance 

      ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - Engine ground Engine stopped Below 1 Ω
      1 - Engine ground Engine idling 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
