Front Door Lock: Inspection

  1. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Apply battery voltage to the door lock motor and check operation of the door lock motor.

      OK 

      MEASUREMENT CONDITION

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (L)
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (UL)
      Lock
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (UL)
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (L)
      Unlock

      If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

    2. Measure the resistance of the door lock position switch.

      Standard resistance 

      FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      7 (LSSE) - 8 (E) Unlock Below 1 Ω
      7 (LSSE) - 8 (E) Lock 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance of the door lock and unlock switch.

      Standard resistance 

      FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      9 (DLSR) - 7 (LSSR) Lock Below 1 Ω
      10 (E)-7 (LSSR) Unlock Below 1 Ω
      9 (DLSR) - 7 (LSSR) Unlock 10 kΩ or higher
      10 (E)-7 (LSSR) Lock 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

    4. w/ Door Closer:

      Closer motor operation inspection

      1. Set the front door with motor lock assembly LH to the half latch position.
      2. When battery voltage is applied as shown below to the terminals of connector B of the front door with motor lock assembly LH, check the operation of the door closer.

        OK 

        MEASUREMENT CONDITION

        Measurement Condition Closer motor operation
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal B1 (CLM+)
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal B4 (CLM-)
        Moves to full latch position

        If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

  2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Apply battery voltage to the door lock motor and check operation of the door lock motor.

      OK 

      MEASUREMENT CONDITION

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (L)
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (UL)
      Lock
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (UL)
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (L)
      Unlock

      If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

    2. Measure the resistance of the door lock position switch.

      Standard resistance 

      FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      7 (LSSR) - 8 (E) Unlock Below 1 Ω
      7 (LSSR) - 8 (E) Lock 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

    3. w/ Door Closer:

      Closer motor operation inspection

      1. Set the front door with motor lock assembly RH to the half latch position.
      2. When battery voltage is applied as shown below to the terminals of connector B of the front door with motor lock assembly RH, check the operation of the door closer.

        OK 

        MEASUREMENT CONDITION

        Measurement Condition Closer motor operation
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal B1 (CLM+)
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal B4 (CLM-)
        Moves to full latch position

        If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
