Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Connect the intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the tester ON.
    3. Clear DTCs (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).
    4. Read DTCs (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).

      Result 

      RESULT CHART

      Result Proceed to
      C1645/5C-71 reappears A
      No DTCs are output B

    B: USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK  (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )

    A: GO TO POWER STEERING SYSTEM  (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )
