Headlight Dimmer Switch: Installation

  1. INSTALL HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Insert the headlight dimmer switch assembly into the steering column making sure that the stopper's protrusions and cutout parts align.

    2. Install the headlight dimmer switch assembly with the band clamp and claw.

  2. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Attach the claw and install the windshield wiper switch.

    2. Connect the connectors.
  3. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER (w/o Driver Monitor Camera)  (See INSTALLATION )
  4. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER (w/ Driver Monitor Camera)  (See INSTALLATION )
  5. INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSPECTION )
  6. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  7. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT 
  8. INSPECT STEERING PAD ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  9. INSTALL STEERING PAD ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  10. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER  (See INSTALLATION )
  11. INSTALL SWITCH AND VOLUME CASE  (See INSTALLATION )
  12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: Reset the AUTO TILT AWAY function setting to the previous condition by changing the customize parameter (see CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS ).
  13. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  14. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Check the SRS warning light (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
  15. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
