Mayday Battery: Installation

  1. INSTALL LOWER BRACKET 
    1. Install the bracket with the 2 nuts.
    2. Connect the clamp.

  2. INSTALL MAYDAY BATTERY 
    1. Install the battery with the upper bracket and nut.
    2. Connect the connector.

  3. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  4. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  5. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE  (See INSTALLATION )
  6. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER FRONT  (See INSTALLATION )
  7. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT NO. 2 TRIM HOOK (w/o Rear Cooler)  (See INSTALLATION )
  8. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT NO. 1 LIGHT ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  9. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  10. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  11. INSTALL ROPE HOOK  (See INSTALLATION )
  12. INSTALL ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  13. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  14. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER COVER (w/ Rear Cooler)  (See INSTALLATION )
  15. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  16. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  17. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  18. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Check the SRS warning light (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
  19. PERFORM REGISTRATION 
    1. Perform registration (see REGISTRATION  ).
      NOTE: When replacing the mayday battery or the mayday ECU assembly (together with mayday battery), perform registration.
