Cooling System (Mechanical): Cooling: Radiator: Removal

  1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH  (See REMOVAL )
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
    NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (See  COOLANT   ) 
  4. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See  COOLANT   ) 
  5. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH  (See REMOVAL )
  9. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  (See REMOVAL )
  10. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 
    1. Remove the 4 clips and duct seal.
  11. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  12. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 
  13. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 
  14. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER INLET HOSE 
  15. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE 
  16. REMOVE ECM OUTLET DUCT  (See REMOVAL )
  17. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL   ) 
  18. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the 3 bolts and sensor.

  19. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER

    1. Remove the 3 screws.
    2. Detach the claw and remove the cover.
  20. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY  (See HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY )
  21. REMOVE RADIATOR UPPER SUPPORT 
    1. Disconnect the 3 connectors and detach the 2 clamps.

    2. Detach the 5 clamps and disconnect the wire harness.

    3. Remove the 5 bolts and upper support.
  22. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the 3 clamps and disconnect the ECU'S connector.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts and separate the radiator from the A/C condenser.

  23. REMOVE FAN SHROUD WITH FAN AND MOTOR

    1. Detach the 3 claws and remove the fan shroud with fan and motor.
  24. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION 
    1. Remove the 2 cushions.
  25. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT LOWER 
    1. Remove the 2 radiator support lowers.
