Power Steering Link: Installation

INSTALL POWER STEERING LINK ASSEMBLY
1. Install the power steering link assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
  Torque: 100 N*m (1,020 kgf*cm, 74 ft.*lbf)
  
  NOTE: The nut has a detent, so never turn the nut, be sure to turn the bolt.
  
  HINT:
  
  Insert the bolt and slide it with the gear assembly as a unit and then install the bolt on the frame.

INSTALL STABILIZER BAR FRONT
STABILIZE SUSPENSION
CONNECT STEERING GEAR OUTLET RETURN TUBE
1. Using SST, connect the outlet return tube.
  SST 09023-12701
  
  Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf) for use with SST
  
  HINT:
  - Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.81 in.).
  - This torque value is effective in case that SST is parallel to a torque wrench.

2. Install the hose with the clip.

CONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY
1. Install the pressure feed tube assembly to the frame sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.
  Torque: 28 N*m (286 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf)

2. Using SST, tighten the flare nut and connect the pressure feed tube.
  SST 09023-12701
  
  Torque: 42 N*m (420 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf) for use with SST
  
  HINT:
  - Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mmm (11.81 in.).
  - This torque value is effective in case that SST is parallel to a torque wrench

TIGHTEN STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT SUB-ASSEMBLY NO. 2 (See INSTALLATION )
CONNECT TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
1. Connect the tie rod end to the steering knuckle arm.
2. Install the nut and cotter pin.
  Torque: 91 N*m (928 kgf*cm, 67 ft.*lbf)
CONNECT TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:

Install the RH side by the same procedures with the LH side.
INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO. 1
1. Install the engine under cover sub-assembly No. 1 with the 4 bolts.
INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY
1. Install the rear engine under cover assembly with the 6 bolts.
INSTALL FRONT WHEELS
Torque: 112 N*m (1,142 kgf*cm, 83 ft.*lbf)
PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
INSTALL TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY
INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE (See REMOVAL )
INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER LOWER (See INSTALLATION )
CENTER SPIRAL CABLE (See REMOVAL )
INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
INSTALL STEERING PAD (See INSTALLATION )
INSPECT STEERING PAD (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART S)
INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
