Outer Rear View Mirror: Inspection
- INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Seat Position Memory System)
- Inspect outer mirror operation.
- Disconnect the mirror connector.
- Apply battery voltage and check operation of the mirror face.

Battery positive (-) → 6 (M+)Turns upward (A) Battery positive (+) → 6 (M+)

Battery positive (-) → 8 (M+)Turns right (D) - Inspect outer mirror heater operation.
- Apply battery voltage and check operation of the mirror heater.
HINT:
While using the battery during inspection, do not bring the positive and negative tester probes too close to each other as a short circuit may occur.
If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assembly

- Inspect outer mirror operation.
- Disconnect the mirror connector.
- Apply battery voltage and check operation of the mirror face.

Battery negative (-) → Terminal 12 (H-)Mirror becomes warm - Inspect operation of the mirror position sensor.
- Connect the positive (+) lead from the ohmmeter to terminal 9 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 15, and measure the resistance.
Standard resistance:
700 to 1,300Ω
- Check that the resistance between terminals 9 and 10 changes when slowly turning the mirror face right and left.
- Check that the resistance between terminals 9 and 16 changes when slowly turning the mirror face right and left.
- Connect the positive (+) lead from the ohmmeter to terminal 9 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 15, and measure the resistance.
- Inspect outer mirror operation.

- Inspect outer mirror operation.
- Disconnect the H8 mirror connector.
- Apply battery voltage and check operation of the mirror face.
