Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A54 and E84 hybrid vehicle control ECU connectors.
    2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      A54-18 (E1) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
      A54-104 (EC) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
      E84-50 (E02) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
      E84-51 (E01) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
      E84-52 (E12) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard voltage 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A54-20 (BATT) - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V
      A54-46 (+B) - Body ground Battery's positive (+) voltage is applied to terminal A54-21 (MREL) 10 to 14 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
