Inspection Procedure

NOTE: When replacing the absorber control ECU, check the acceleration sensor assembly signal after replacement (See TEST MODE PROCEDURE ).

HINT:

  1. CHECK DTC 
    1. Check DTC (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).

    Result 

    RESULT REFERENCE

    Result Proceed to
    DTC is not output A
    DTC is output B

    B: REPAIR CIRCUIT INDICATED BY OUTPUT CODE 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. PERFORM TEST MODE 
    1. Perform test mode (See TEST MODE PROCEDURE ).
    2. Check if the test mode DTC C1787/87 is output.

    Result 

    RESULT REFERENCE

    Result Proceed to
    DTC C1787/87 is not output A
    DTC C1787/87 is output B

    B: REPAIR CIRCUIT INDICATED BY OUTPUT CODE 

    A: Go to next step 

  3. INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 
    1. Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).

    Result 

    RESULT REFERENCE

    Result Proceed to
    DTC is not output A
    DTC is output B

    B: REPAIR CIRCUIT INDICATED BY OUTPUT CODE 

    A: Go to next step 

  4. INSPECT MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 
    1. Check if the multiplex communication system DTC is output (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).

    Result 

    RESULT REFERENCE

    Result Proceed to
    DTC is not output A
    DTC is output B

    B: REPAIR CIRCUIT INDICATED BY OUTPUT CODE 

    A: Go to next step 

  5. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check the combination meter assembly (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ).

      OK: 

      The combination meter assembly is normal. 

    Result

    OK (when troubleshooting accordance with the PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE) B
    NG C

    B: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

    C: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

    A: REPLACE ABSORBER CONTROL ECU
