Inner Rear View Mirror: Inspection
- INSPECT INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY
- Check operation of the electrochromatic inner mirror.
- Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 5.
- Attach black colored tape to the forward sensor to prevent it from sensing.
- Shine an electric light on the mirror. Check that the mirror surface changes from bright to dark.
HINT:
When the environment is very bright, the antiglare operation may occur immediately after the tape is applied.
If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assembly.
- Check operation of the electrochromatic inner mirror.
- INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH
- Disconnect the mirror connector.
- Apply dry cell battery voltage (1.2 V) to the mirror and check operation of the mirror face.

SPECIFIED CONDITION CHARTCondition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) - 7 (EC+)
Battery negative (-) - 15 (EC-)Mirror face darkens If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assembly.

- Disconnect the mirror connector.
- Apply dry cell battery voltage (1.2 V) to the mirror and check operation of the mirror face.
