Headlight Assembly: Adjustment
HINT:
When adjusting the headlights, refer to the illustration below.
- VEHICLE PREPARATION FOR HEADLIGHT AIM ADJUSTMENT
- Prepare the vehicle according to the following conditions:
- Be sure that the body around the headlight is not deformed.
- Park the vehicle on a level surface.
- The driver is sitting in the driver's seat and the vehicle is ready to be driven (fuel tank is full).
- Bounce the vehicle several times.
- Prepare the vehicle according to the following conditions:
- HEADLIGHT AIMING ADJUSTMENT (LOW BEAM)
- Adjust the aim vertically:
If the bubble is out of the acceptable range of the beam angle gauge, adjust it using bolt A and B.
HINT:
- Turn bolt A and B equally and in the same direction.
- The bubble of the gauge should not deviate from the center of the gauge by more than 2 marks to either side of the gauge.
- Adjust the aim horizontally:
If the edge of the lens not match "0" mark, adjust the lens using bolt A.
HINT:
After adjusting the headlight in the vertical direction, check that the light has been shifted from the adjusted position in the horizontal direction.
- Adjust the aim vertically:
- HEADLIGHT AIMING ADJUSTMENT (HIGH BEAM)
- Adjust the aim vertically:
- If the bubble is out of the acceptable range of the beam angle gauge, adjust it using bolt A.
HINT:
The bubble of the gauge should not deviate from the center of the gauge by more than 2 marks to either side of the gauge.
- If the bubble is out of the acceptable range of the beam angle gauge, adjust it using bolt A.
- Adjust the aim horizontally:
- the red line is out of the acceptable range of the beam angle gauge, adjust it using bolt B.
HINT:
The red line should not deviate by more than 2 blue lines to either side of the gauge.
