Microphone Amplifier: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR COVER (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  3. REMOVE FRONT ROOF TOP GARNISH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  4. REMOVE PERSONAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  5. REMOVE MICROPHONE AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the microphone amplifier cord from the cover labeled A.
    2. Disconnect the connector labeled B.
    3. Remove the 9 screws labeled C and cover.
    4. Remove the microphone amplifier.
