Inspection Procedure

1. Clean the disc by wiping the disc's underside radially with a soft cloth.

   OK: 

   Malfunction disappears. 

   NOTE: Do not use a conventional record cleaner or antistatic preservative.

OK: DISC WAS DIRTY 

NG: Go to next step 

1. Replace the disc with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again.

   OK: 

   Malfunctions disappears. 

OK: DISC IS FAULTY 

NG: Go to next step 

1. Check the location in which disc skipping occurs.

   Result

A: Go to next step 

1. Check the installation condition of the radio and navigation assembly.

   OK: 

   Installed properly. 

NG: INSTALL RADIO AND NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY PROPERLY 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Remove the radio and navigation assembly and install it in another vehicle of the same model. Check if the disc sound skips.

   OK: 

   Disc sound does not skip. 

OK: MALFUNCTIONS MAY NOT BE PRESENT 

NG: Go to next step 

1. Check whether or not a rapid temperature change occurred in the cabin.

   OK: 

   Rapid temperature change occurred. 

   HINT:

   A rapid temperature change creates condensation inside the disc player, which may disable disc playback.

NG: PROCEED TO NEXT INSPECTION PROCEDURE SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

OK: CONDENSATION DUE TO TEMPERATURE CHANGE (LEAVE AS IS FOR A WHILE BEFORE USING)
