Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU SUB BUS LINE) 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Disconnect the clearance warning ECU connector (A38).
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Value
      A38-23 (R1) - A38-24 (R2) Engine switch off 54 to 69 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING ECU SUB BUS LINE OR CONNECTOR (CAN-H, CAN-L) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (IG, E) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Value
      A38-27 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Value
      A38-8 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch off 10 to 14 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING ECU
