Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 

    Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING .

    If the multiplex communication system is operating normally, proceed to the next step.

  2. READ VALUE OF INTELLIGENT TESTER 
    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the intelligent tester main switch ON.
    4. Turn the clearance sonar main switch ON.
    5. Select the item below in the Data List, and read its value displayed on the intelligent tester to check the clearance sonar main switch.

      Result 

      Clearance warning ECU: 

      RESULT CHART

      Item Measurement / Range (Display) Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      MAIN SW Clearance sonar main switch / OFF or ON OFF: Clearance sonar main switch OFF
      ON: Clearance sonar main switch ON      		 -

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

    NG: Go to next step 

  3. READ VALUE OF INTELLIGENT TESTER 
    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the intelligent tester main switch ON.
    4. Turn the clearance sonar main switch ON.
    5. Select the item below in the Data List, and read its value displayed on the intelligent tester to check the clearance sonar main switch.

      Result 

      Integration control and panel assembly:

    NG: REPLACE INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY
