Inspection Procedure

- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DLC3 - AIRBAG SENSOR ASSY CENTER)
- Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
- Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
- Disconnect the airbag sensor assy center connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION .
Standard:
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester connection Condition Specified condition D1-13 (TC) - A32-19 (TC) Always Below 1 Ω
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS (TC of DLC3 - TC of AIRBAG SENSOR ASSY CENTER)
OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (CG of DLC3 - BODY GROUND)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION .
Standard:
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester connection Condition Specified condition D1-4 (CG) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS (CG of DLC3 - BODY GROUND)
OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION .
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TC of AIRBAG SENSOR ASSY CENTER - BODY GROUND)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION .
Standard:
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester connection Condition Specified condition A32-19 (TC) - Body ground Always 1 MΩ or Higher
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND EACH ECU
OK: REPAIR AIR BAG SENSOR ASSY CENTER (SEE REPLACEMENT )
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION .
