Inspection Procedure
HINT:
Start the inspection from step 1 when using the intelligent tester and start from step 2 when not using the intelligent tester.
- READ VALUE OF INTELLIGENT TESTER
- Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
- Start the engine.
- Select the DATA LIST mode on the intelligent tester.
- Read the value of the brake pedal load sensing switch displayed on the intelligent tester when depressing and releasing the brake pedal.

A: REPAIR CIRCUITS INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTCS
- INSPECT BRAKE PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY NOTE: Do not disassemble the brake pedal sub-assembly.
HINT:
Replace the brake pedal sub-assembly when there is a malfunction in the brake pedal load sensing switch.
- Disconnect the brake pedal load sensing switch connector B8.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

- CHECK HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - BRAKE PEDAL LOAD SENSING SWITCH)
- Disconnect the skid control ECU connector S1 and the brake pedal load sensing switch connector B8.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
