Tire Pressure Warning System Reset
NOTE:
Be sure to adjust the tire pressure to specification before initialization. See tire loading and pressure label on driver door jam.
- With the vehicle stopped, turn ignition switch to ON position.
- Press and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch until the "Pressure Initial" indicator comes on. See Fig 1.NOTE: If reset switch is pushed without adjusting the tire inflation pressure to the specified level, the low tire pressure warning may not turn on even if the tire inflation is low, or it may turn on when the tire inflation pressure is actually normal. If reset switch is pushed while driving, initialization is not performed.NOTE: If the "Pressure Initial" indicator does not come on, turn ignition switch to OFF position. Perform test again starting at step 1.
- Drive the vehicle at 19 mph (30 km/h) or more for approximately 60 minutes to complete the initialization of the skid control ECU.
- Check that the indicator is not displayed after driving the vehicle. During this process, ensure that the number of passengers is one or two (including driver).NOTE: If the "Pressure Initial" indicator comes on while the vehicle is being driven, the initialization may have failed. If so, turn ignition switch to OFF position. Perform test again starting at step 1.
