Cold Start Injector: Installation

  1. INSTALL COLD START INJECTOR 
    1. Install a new gasket to the intake air surge tank.

      HINT:

      Align the protrusion of the gasket on the intake air surge tank.

    2. Install the cold start injector with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

    3. Install 2 new gaskets and the hose to the cold start injector with the bolt.

      Torque: 15 N*m (153 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the gasket.
      • Do not fold or bend the hose.
  2. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (See Step 93 in  INSTALLATION  ) 
  3. CHECK FOR FUEL LEAKAGE (See  ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION   ) 
  4. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See Step 115 in  INSTALLATION  ) 
  5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (See INITIALIZATION ).

      HINT:

      Certain systems need to be initialized after reconnecting the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
