Shift Paddle Switch: Installation

1. INSTALL SHIFT PADDLE SWITCH 
   1. Install the 2 shift paddle switches and 2 brackets with the 4 screws.

      Torque: 1.7 N*m (17 kgf*cm, 15 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE: Make sure that the brackets are securely installed.
   2. Connect the 2 switch wire connectors to the shift paddle switches.

   3. Install the connector to the steering wheel assembly.
   4. Install the clamp to the steering wheel assembly.

2. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (See  INSPECTION  ) 
3. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY (See step 9 in  INSTALLATION  ) 
4. INSTALL STEERING PAD (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
5. INSTALL LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER (See step 2 in  INSTALLATION  ) 
6. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER (See step 3 in  INSTALLATION  ) 
7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 

   Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal (See INITIALIZATION ).

9. INSPECT STEERING PAD (See  ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION  ) 
10. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 

(See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
