Steering Pad Switch: Removal

  1. SEPARATE BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL 
  2. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO. 2 (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  3. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO. 3 (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  4. REMOVE STEERING PAD ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  5. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH LH (without Navigation System) 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Disconnect the connector of cruise control main switch.
    3. Remove the screw.

    4. Disengage the meshing of 2 pins and remove the steering pad switch LH.

  6. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH LH (with Navigation System) 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Disconnect the connector of cruise control main switch.
    3. Remove the screw.

    4. Remove the clamp.
    5. Disengage the 2 pins and release the steering pad switch LH from the steering wheel.

    6. Release the tab of steering pad switch cable from the steering pad switch LH.

    7. Disengage the 2 claws and open the latch on the top of the connector.

    8. Pull out the connector while pinching the latch with fingers and disconnect the steering pad switch cable from the steering pad switch LH.

  7. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH RH 
    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Remove the clamp.
    3. Disengage the 2 pins and release the steering pad switch RH from the steering wheel.
    4. Release the tab of steering pad switch cable from the steering pad switch RH.

    5. Disengage the 2 claws and open the latch on the top of the connector.

    6. Pull out the connector while pinching the latch with fingers and disconnect the steering pad switch cable from the steering pad switch RH.
