DTC P2121 Throttle / Pedal Position Sensor / Switch "D" Circuit Range / Performance: Wiring Diagram
HINT:
- Read freeze frame data using the intelligent tester. Freeze frame data records the engine conditions when malfunctions are detected. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air-fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.
- This DTC relates to the accelerator pedal position sensor.
- READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (ACCEL POS #1 AND ACCEL POS #2)
- Connect the intelligent tester to the CAN VIM. Then connect the CAN VIM to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the tester ON.
- Enter the following menus: DIAGNOSIS / ENHANCED OBD II / DATA LIST / ALL / ACCEL POS #1 and ACCEL POS #2.
- Read the value.

- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION SENSOR - ECM)
- Disconnect the A34 accelerator pedal position sensor connector.
- Disconnect the A7 ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
