Ignition Coil: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
    NOTE: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET
  6. REMOVE V-BANK COVER
    1. Remove the 2 nuts and V-bank cover.
  7. REMOVE IGNITION COIL
    1. Disconnect the ignition coil connector.
    2. Remove the bolt and pull out the ignition coil.
