Front Seat Assembly: Disassembly

CAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat frame and adjuster may injure your hands.

HINT:

Use the same procedures for the LH and RH side.

  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  2. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the knob.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  3. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the knob.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD WITH NO. 1 CUSHION SHIELD INNER 
    1. Disconnect the 2 rubber bands of the front seatback board from the front seat frame.
    2. Disconnect the connector from the No. 1 interior illumination light assembly.

    3. Remove the 5 screws.

    4. Detach the claw and remove the cushion shield (with No. 1 cushion shield inner) in the order indicated in the illustration.
    5. Disconnect the connector from the front power seat lumbar switch.
  5. DISCONNECT NO. 1 FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER

    1. Remove the 2 screws.
    2. Detach the claw and disconnect the cushion shield inner from the cushion shield.
  6. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT LUMBAR SWITCH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and switch.
  7. REMOVE SEAT TRACK SPACER LOWER OUTER

    1. Remove the 2 screws and spacer.
  8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER 
    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Using a clip remover, detach the clip and remove the cushion shield.
  9. REMOVE SEAT TRACK SPACER LOWER INNER 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and spacer from the cushion shield inner.

  10. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/o Seat Position Memory System)

    1. Remove the 3 screws.
    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the switch.
  11. REMOVE POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Position Memory System) 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the front power seat switch.

  12. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

    1. Disconnect the connectors and detach the clamps.
    2. Detach the clamp of the headrest adjuster's cable (driver side).
    3. Disconnect the hook of the front seat cushion cover from the front seat frame.

    4. Using a screwdriver, detach the hooks and remove the front seat cushion cover with pad.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    5. Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover from the seat cushion pad.

  13. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUBASSEMBLY 
    1. Open the lower part of the seatback board. Then remove the 2 screws.

    2. Pull the seatback board in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to detach the 2 claws. Then, remove the seatback board.
  14. REMOVE NO. 2 INTERIOR ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY

    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the light from the seatback board.
  15. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

    1. Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.
    2. Remove the 4 bolts and front seatback cover (inner and outer).

    3. Remove the hog rings and open the upper part of the seatback cover.

    4. Remove the nut and 2 seatback cover brackets.
    5. Detach the hooks and remove the hog rings and the seatback cover with pad from the seat frame.

    6. Remove the hog rings and seatback cover from the seatback pad.

  16. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH LOWER

    1. Remove the 2 screws.
    2. Detach the claw and remove the inside cover.
  17. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH LOWER

    1. Remove the 2 screws.
    2. Detach the claw and remove the inside cover.
  18. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH UPPER

    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Detach the claw and remove the inside cover.
  19. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH UPPER

    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Detach the claw and remove the inside cover.
  20. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LOWER INNER AND OUTER

    1. Remove the screw and detach the hook of the cushion shield.
  21. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the connector and clamps.
    2. Remove the 2 screws and lumbar support adjuster.
  22. REMOVE SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

    1. Disconnect the connector and detach the 3 clamps.
    2. Using a T30 "Torx" socket, remove the 6 "Torx" bolts and remove the seatback climate control cover and blower.
  23. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Detach the 2 hooks and 2 claws and remove the duct.

  24. REMOVE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the screw, detach the claw and remove the blower with bracket.
    3. Remove the 3 bolts, 3 bushes and blower from the bracket.
  25. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ADJUSTER SUBASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)

    1. Disconnect the cable from the front seat frame inner side.
    2. Disconnect the cable from the front seat frame under side.

    3. Remove the headrest lock release button.

    4. Remove the 2 bolts and headrest adjuster from the seat frame.

  26. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Driver Side) 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Detach the claw and remove the seat slide position sensor protector.
    3. Using a T30 "Torx" socket, remove the "Torx" bolt and airbag sensor.
  27. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System) 
    1. Disconnect the connector and detach the clamp.
  28. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE
