Outer Rear View Mirror: Removal

HINT:

• Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
• The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
   CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUBASSEMBLY LH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM COVER LH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
5. REMOVE DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
6. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH 
   1. Disconnect the connector.
   2. Detach the clip.
   3. Remove the 3 bolts and mirror.

7. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR SUBASSEMBLY LH 
   1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 2 claws and 2 clips.
   2. Remove the mirror.

      HINT:

      Apply protective tape to the mirror body.

   3. Using a small screwdriver, disconnect the connectors.

8. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR VISOR 
   1. Remove the 4 screws and mirror visor.

9. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
   1. Remove the mirror light.

10. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR COVER 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and 3 clips.
    2. Remove the mirror cover.
