- INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LARGE-SCALE MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (BEAN)*
- Using the intelligent tester, check if the Multiplex Communication System (MPX) is functioning normally (see DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST ).

- CHECK FOR DTC*
- Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output (see DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST ).
- Delete the DTC.
- Recheck for DTCs. Based on the DTCs output above, try to force output of the same SFI system DTC or engine immobilizer system DTC by simulating the symptoms indicated by the DTC.
