Manual Shifting Test
- PERFORM MANUAL SHIFTING TEST
HINT:
By this test, it can be determined whether the trouble is within the electrical circuit or is a mechanical problem in the transmission.
- Disconnect the transmission wire connector.
- Inspect the manual driving operation.
- Check that the shift lever and gear positions correspond to SHIFT LEVER POSITION TABLE .
- While driving, move the shift lever to L, 2, 3, 4 and D.
- Check that the gear change corresponds to the shift lever position.SHIFT LEVER POSITION TABLE
Shift Lever Position Gear Position D 5th 4 5th 3 4th 2 3rd L 3rd R Reverse P Pawl Lock If the results are not as specified, the transmission may be malfunctioning.
HINT:
If the gear positions are hard to distinguish when the shift lever is on L, 2, 3, 4 and D, perform the ROAD TEST .
- Connect the transmission wire connector.
- Clear the DTCs (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
