Terminals Of Ecu

  1. CHECK TRANSPONDER KEY AMPLIFIER

    1. Disconnect the T12 amplifier connector.
    2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard: 

      TERMINAL DESCRIPTION

      Symbols (Terminal No.) Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      GND (T12-5) - Body ground V - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 ohms

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

    3. Reconnect the T12 amplifier connector.
    4. Measure the voltage and resistance of the connector.

      Standard: 

      TERMINAL DESCRIPTION

      +B (T12-1) - GND (T12-5) Y - V Power source No key in ignition key cylinder 0 V

      CODE (T12-2) - GND (T12-5) V-W - V Demodulated signal of key code data Key inserted Pulse generation (see Fig 2)
      TXCT (T12-4) - GND (T12-5) G - V Key code output signal No key in ignition key cylinder 0 V
      TXCT (T12-4) - GND (T12-5) G - V Key code output signal Key inserted Pulse generation (see Fig 3)
      GND (T12-5) - Body ground V - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 ohms

      If the result is not as specified, the amplifier may have a malfunction.

    5. Inspect using an oscilloscope.

      Waveform 1 (Reference):

      Tool Setting 5 V/DIV., 20 msec./DIV.

  2. CHECK TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSY 
    1. Disconnect the T13 ECU connector.
    2. Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard:

      CPUB (T13-1) - GND (T13-14) L-O - W-B Battery Always 10 to 14 V
      IG2 (T13-2) - AGND (T13-13) G-B - V Ignition power supply Ignition switch OFF 0 V
      IG2 (T13-2) - AGND (T13-13) G-B - V Ignition power supply Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V
      KSW (T13-3) - AGND (T13-13) LG-B - V Unlock warning switch No key in ignition key cylinder 10 k ohms or higher
      KSW (T13-3) - AGND (T13-13) LG-B - V Unlock warning switch Key inserted Below 1 ohms

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

    3. Reconnect the T13 ECU connector.
    4. Measure the voltage of the connector.

      Standard:

      If the result is not as specified, the ECU may have a malfunction.

    5. Inspect using an oscilloscope.

  3. CHECK ECM

    1. Measure the voltage and resistance of the connectors.

      Standard: 

      TERMINAL DESCRIPTION

      IMI (E5-24) - E01 (E4-2) B-R - W-B Transponder key ECU input signal No key in ignition key cylinder 0 V

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

    2. Inspect using an oscilloscope.
