O2S Test Result
The O2S Test Result (mode 05) allows the OBD II scan tool to display the test value that was used to determine whether the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) is functioning normally or not. The HO2S condition can be checked by comparing the test value and the malfunction criterion. This procedure is described in O2S TEST RESULT .
- TID (Test Identification Data) is assigned to each test value.
- Unit Conversion is used to calculate the test value.
DESCRIPTION OF TEST VALUE
| TID | Unit Conversion | Description of Test Value | Malfunction Criteria |
|---|---|---|---|
| $03 | Multiply by 0.005 [V] | This value is used to calculate TID $31 and $32 | - |
| $04 | Multiply by 0.005 [V] | This value is used to calculate TID $31 and $32 | - |
| $07 | Multiply by 0.005 [V] | Minimum sensor voltage | Less than 0.4 V |
| $08 | Multiply by 0.005 [V] | Maximum sensor voltage | More than 0.55 V |
| $31 | Multiply by 0.04 [seconds] | Lean to Rich switch time | Less than 0.9 seconds |
| $32 | Multiply by 0.04 [seconds] | Rich to Lean switch time | Less than 0.9 seconds |
| $38 | Multiply by 0.04 [seconds] | Average of switching frequency | Varies with operating conditions |
