Combination Meter - Diagnostics: Pre-Check

ACTIVE TEST

HINT:

According to the ACTIVE TEST displayed by the hand-held tester, you can read the value of components such as the switch, sensor, and actuator without parts removal. Performing the ACTIVE TEST as the first step of troubleshooting is one method to shorten work time.

Warm up the engine.
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
Connect the hand-held tester to DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
Operate the hand-held tester according to the steps on the display and perform the "ACTIVE TEST".

1. Warm up the engine.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
3. Connect the hand-held tester to DLC3.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
5. Operate the hand-held tester according to the steps on the display and select "DATA LIST".
