Heated Oxygen Sensor: Inspection

  1. INSPECT HEATER RESISTANCE OF HEATED OXYGEN SENSORS
    1. Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
    2. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminal +B and HT.

      Resistance: 11 - 16 Ωat 20°C (68°F)

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor.

      Torque:

      44 N.m (450 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lbf) for sensor 1

      20 N.m (200 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf) for sensor 2

    3. Reconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
  2. INSPECT OPERATION OF HEATED OXYGEN SENSORS (See  DTC P0130, P0150, P2195, P2196, P2197, P2198  and  DTC P0136, P0156  )
