Inspection Procedure
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (LUGGAGE OSCILLATOR (INNER, OUTER) - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the L16 luggage oscillator inner connector.
- Disconnect the L17 luggage oscillator outer connector.
- Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connectors and body ground.
Standard:

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING HAND-HELD TESTER
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON and press the hand-held tester main switch ON.
- Select the item below in the ACTIVE TEST and then check that the oscillator operates.

When the smart key is brought close to the door the oscillator is turned ON and the indicator on the smart key illuminates.
NG: Go to step 3
OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (THEFT WARNING ECU ASSY - LUGGAGE OSCILLATOR (INNER, OUTER))
- Disconnect the T5 ECU connector.
- Disconnect the L16 luggage oscillator inner connector.
- Disconnect the L17 luggage oscillator outer connector.
- Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard:
